Jade Emperor and Sun Wukong

After the dragon king of the Eastern Sea and the kings of the underworld had laid their charges against Sun Wukong before heaven, the Jade Emperor took Taibai Jinxing’s advice, called him up first and made him Bimawen. Wukong was taken by Yang Jian and Laojun together, survived blade, axe, thunder and fire on the demon-executing platform, and was thrown into the eight-trigram furnace. After seven times seven days he kicked the furnace door down and fought his way to the doors of the Hall of Universal Brightness, and the Jade Emperor then sent to the western heaven for Rulai, who pinned him under Five Elements Mountain.
