Tu Xingsun and Juliusun

Tu Xingsun cultivated under Juliusun at the Feiyun Cave on Mount Jialong, and because he was small his master taught him the earth-travelling art, so that once underground he could cover a thousand li in a day. When Shen Gongbao came to the mountain persuading, Tu Xingsun stole the Immortal-Binding Rope while Juliusun was away and went down to join Deng Jiugong’s camp.

Learning that his disciple was attempting assassinations at Western Qi, Juliusun came to the lines, fixed the ground with the art of turning earth to steel, seized Tu Xingsun by the scalp, and trussed him hand and foot with the Immortal-Binding Rope into the Zhou city. Tu Xingsun knocked his head and admitted his fault, and Juliusun took back his treasures and had him submit to Jiang Ziya. At Sishui Pass, Tu Xingsun was later put into the ruyi qiankun bag by Yu Yuan, and Juliusun came at Yuanshi’s order and lifted him bag and all out of the fire.

Before the eastern campaign Tu Xingsun asked his master about his prospects, and Juliusun left him the line “a fierce beast before the cliff, and a red robe”. Tu Xingsun was indeed cut down by Zhang Kui below Mengshou Cliff, and never entered the Feiyun Cave again.
