Nezha had already fought for some time below Western Qi under Jiang Ziya when Lei Zhenzi came into the camp at Yunzhongzi’s order, and the two took their orders together in the vanguard. Nezha met the enemy head-on from his wind-fire wheels while Lei Zhenzi crossed above the ranks and struck the rear with the Golden Staff; when a pass was shut, Lei Zhenzi swept over the tower first and Nezha then led the men in at the gate.
The two escorted Jiang Ziya together with Yang Jian and Huang Tianhua, and each led a company when the Shang generals raided the camp.
After the Zhou army crossed at Mengjin, Nezha still challenged before the lines and Lei Zhenzi patrolled the air against enemies who could fly or escape. When Chaoge fell the two entered the city with the rest; and when the Investiture was over, Nezha returned to the immortal road and Lei Zhenzi too left the armies of the human world.
