Su Daji and Jiang Ziya

While Jiang Ziya still held office at Chaoge, the jade pipa spirit took the shape of a woman and passed the southern gate, and he caught her by the wrist in the street. Learning that her sister had been seized, Daji had Jiang Ziya and the pipa spirit both called into the palace.

Jiang Ziya burned the demon body into a piece of jade with samadhi fire; Daji hid her anger before Di Xin, but marked him from that day. Set to oversee the building of the Deer Terrace, Jiang Ziya saw that Daji meant to use the works to destroy him, leapt from the terrace and escaped Chaoge by the earth-passage. Years later the Zhou army entered the city, Nüwa took the three demons of the tomb of Xuanyuan and had Yang Jian bring them to the Zhou camp.

Jiang Ziya set up a scaffold at the camp gate and had the three put to death one after another; when the executioners could not lift their blades for Daji’s beauty, Jiang Ziya asked Luya to open his gourd. A white light held Daji’s crown, the Immortal-Slaying Flying Blade turned a few times, and the nine-tailed fox’s head fell below the gate of the camp.
