It struck Sun Wukong down from the heavenly gate, and later the green buffalo carried it below and used it to take weapon after weapon.

The story

While Sun Wukong and Yang Jian were contending, Taishang Laojun stood at the gate of heaven, drew out the Diamond Bracelet and threw it down from above onto Wukong’s crown. Yang Jian and the hound closed at once, and only then was Wukong taken.

Later the green buffalo spirit stole the Diamond Bracelet and held the Jindou Cave, snaring the golden staff and the weapons of the heavenly host one after another. Laojun came to the mountain, recovered the bracelet, and the buffalo showed its true shape and went back with him to the Tushita Palace.
