When the six saints of Heaven’s Way had obtained the Primordial Purple Qi or established great merit, their primordial spirits rested in Heaven’s Way. Taiqing founded the Human Sect, Yuanshi the Chan Sect and Tongtian the Jie Sect; Nüwa made humankind, and Jieyin and Zhunti founded a teaching in the west.
A saint’s decree can move the fortune of a school, and the life and death of his disciples draws him into a calamity. When the Nine-Bend Yellow River Formation held the Twelve Golden Immortals, Taiqing and Yuanshi entered it themselves; when the Zhuxian Formation was raised, four saints entered its four gates for the swords.
When they fight they alter heaven and earth within the array directly, and after Tongtian lost the Ten Thousand Immortals Formation he was ready to refine earth, water, fire and wind again. Only when Hongjun reached the field and took the Three Pure Ones back to Zixiao Palace did the war of saints at the end of the Investiture stop.
Whether the Hunyuan Da Luo Golden Immortal is exactly the same as a saint of Heaven’s Way is divided differently in different Honghuang works; this archive sets the two side by side on one rung and keeps the difference in the disputed note on the entry.

Selecting a portrait still opens that entry directly.
